FTM 谈话秀: 20世纪的法国Riviera
Fashion and Textile Museum, 83 Bermondsey Street, London, SE1 3XF
Take a tour through the glorious, glamorous world of the French Riviera during the first half of the twentieth century. Drawing on the unique archives at Mary Evans Picture Library, Lucinda Gosling will trace the origins and growing popularity of the Riviera as a fashionable destination.
A getaway destination frequented in the 1920s by artists and writers such as Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald and Picasso, the Riviera became known as a playground of privilege. The fashion, faces and places of this glamorous stretch of the French coastline are highlighted through contemporary society magazines such as The Bystander and The Tatler.
