Designer Ashish will be the subject of the V&A’s next Fashion in Motion. Four free catwalk shows will take place on Friday 23 October, presenting highlights from the label’s collections.
Based in London but originally from India, Ashish studied Fine Art in India before moving to Central St Martin’s to complete an MA in 2000. His plans to work in a Paris design studio were halted when his portfolio of work was stolen at the Gare du Nord but he continued working towards private commissions before launching his first collection in London in 2004.
Celebrating his 10th anniversary this year, ASHISH will present a retrospective of his personal highlights from his collections for the catwalk shows at the V&A. Visitors can expect to see glamourous signature sequins dresses, sportswear in rainbow colours and frayed metallic denim.
Free, booking essential. Tickets will be available to book online or via the Bookings Office on 020 7942 2820 from 09.00 on Monday 12 October.
