Late Night Missoni with the House of Peroni
Fashion and Textile Museum, 83 Bermondsey Street, London, SE1 3XF
When Diana Vreeland, the legendary editor of American Vogue, first encountered the colourful dresses of Missoni
in Rome in the autumn of 1968, she said enthusiastically: ‘Who said that there are only seven colours in the rainbow? There are tones!’
Enjoy a colourful evening viewing of the Missoni Art Colour exhibition, accompanied by the sounds and tastes of Italy as the Museum foyer is transformed by music, Italian drink and brightly hued merino yarn. Museum staff will be on hand to help you create your own piece of merino craftsmanship while you take inspiration from the shades, shapes and patterns of Italian art and Missoni knitwear. Enjoy a drop-in Merino Crochet workshop, while taking advantage of a complimentary Peroni Piccola or soft drink. The Museum Café will also be open until 8pm.
