The aim of Fashion Revolution Day is to commemorate the 24th April of 2013, when 1133 fashion workers were killed and over 2500 were injured when the Rana Plaza factory complex collapsed in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
This annual appointment on the anniversary of the disaster will help to raise awareness of the true cost of fashion, show the world that change is possible, and celebrate all those involved in creating a more sustainable future for fashion.
All the profit will be donated to charities supporting victims of the disaster and and their families.
Our event will showcase how fashion can be ethical through presentations by speakers involved in the ethical fashion community.
We will also have entertainment including live music, drinks, nibbles, an interactive showroom of ethical clothes produced in London, as well as an the Dragica Carlin Exhibition
Fashions Finest is an off-schedule fashion show that occurs during London Fashion Week, and that provides opportunities to new talent who would not normally be able to participate in the official event.
This new event at Greenwich Peninsula from the team behind Urban Village Fete promises to showcase the latest emerging creatives from the worlds of fashion, beauty, art, design, homeware, music and seasonal food.
