The founder of COCO MOKA, Natalia was born in Ukraine, Chernihiv. After she finished University in Chernihiv with a specialization in two subjects Psychology and History, she moved to Finland to study International Business and Marketing. In Finland, she enjoyed nature and learned about sustainability and recycling. Finland has the cleanest water you can drink from the tap, clean air, they have nature everywhere. They take care of their country and want to pass it on to the next generations.
During the Erasmus program in Finland, she came for a year to study Business and Marketing in Ireland. She still recalls it as one of the best years of her life. Unfortunately, she developed an allergy during her time in Ireland and she got a rash on her skin from wearing synthetic clothing.
After she completed her studies in Finland, she moved to London to study for a master’s degree in Business Psychology and after a few years of studying and working in London, she came back to Ireland. In Ireland, she worked in the tech industry specializing in digital advertising sales.
All during this time, she was looking for activewear that would not irritate my skin. During the pandemic, she decided to create activewear for herself because she could not find on the market anything like performance activewear that would be suitable for people like her.
This is when Coco Moka was born. Coco Moka was created to solve two problems. She wanted to have activewear that would help to reduce skin irritation. Also, she
wanted to make sure that the creation of activewear was not polluting our planet. We use OceanBalance fabrics to create our activewear. For every 2 kilograms (4.4. pounds) of OceanBalance™ yarns to produce sustainable fabrics, the environmental benefits include conserving five days of drinking water for one person and reducing the consumption of oil-based products by 3.785 liters.
