I went today and got there about 5 minutes before it opened. There was a line to get in but it moved pretty fast. Once in though it was a little crazy. Girls must really love this brand because people were buying boxes full of them-- and unlike a lot of sample sales it wasn't resellers. I bought a pair of western boots and a cute pair of snake print mules/heels. Total for both was $65 so I am happy and it was definitely worth it. Plus there was tons of product in all sizes so there should still be good stuff left if you go this weekend.
I mostly knew Allen Schwartz for ABS but Allen Schwartz's new line is much cleaner and more modern, in my opinion. This sale was good. The samples were going fast but I managed to snag two lovely silk camis, a white cotton blouse w the puffy sleeves I keep seeing and a maxi skirt for $30. The samples are a steal but the production pieces are priced really well, starting at $20 for tops (I saw a beautiful beige organza top that is currently retailing on their website for $300.
Wedding season is approaching and if you need a dress this is the place to go. I found a Rachel Zoe cocktail dress for only $40! It retails for almost $500. Plus the sale is located on Robertson near all the good brunch spots. So grab you best girl and go make a day out of it. Also, free 2 hour parking right down the street.
Highly recommend. The brand is simply lovely. They are located in the same building/floor as Anine Bing. Which is one of my favorite brands so I already had good vibes. Everything is in boxes so it took a little work but it was so worth it. I found some really lovely dresses, including long floral maxi dresses. There were some shoes but almost all were size 37. If you do wear that size there is a pair of beautiful leather booties waiting for you that normally retail from $200 that likely cost less than your lunch. The girl working the sale was very sweet and friendly, plus they have mirrors and a little private changing tent. The only thing is remember to bring cash as it is cash only. But they do have an atm in the lobby of the building.
Stopped by today and I am really glad that I did. I mostly know this brand for the denim, when it was known as Baldwin. It was really good classic styles based in Kansas City. They recently moved out to LA and rebranded under the name BLDWN. Same good classic denim but they added some really great women's wear styles to the mix. The sale itself was great. I got some really fantastic pieces (for a steal) and the staff was so lovely. I highly recommend going.
