Funded by André Courrèges in 1961, Courrèges has revolutionized the couture and design world. While haute couture is giving priority to close-fitting clothes, Courrèges frees women from any fashion restriction. He offers them little white leather boots, gets dresses shorter and triumphs with mini-skirt, imposes trousers, short pants, combi-shorts and the second-skin panty-hose. His structured clothes favor pure lines for women in movement, as the image of an awaken society. André Courrèges makes white sacred, then multiplies variations in colors and new materials such as vinyl or plexi.
