60 Minutes with Eva Herzigova

Eva Herzigova was born on March 10, 1973, in Litvinov in the Czech Republic. Eva grew up in a picturesque mountain village far from the fashion capitals of the world. It was during a visit to Prague when she was 16 that she ran into a friend who told her about an upcoming modelling contest sponsored by Metropolitan Models. Eva entered the competition, won, and six months later found herself with a one-way train ticket to Paris and a lucrative modelling contract.

She quickly edged into the elite world of single-name beauties through a wildly popular 1992 Guess? Campaign, and later the infamous "Hello Boys" ad for Wonderbra. She has since graced the cover of all the major fashion bibles and was even dubbed the Marilyn of the Nineties. She made the transition from model to acting in the 1995 film Les Anges Gardiens opposite Gerard Depardieu, and has since starred in a handful of films.
