Fashion Rules: Restyled

WHEN:

February 11th 2016 to May 31st 2016
Ended

WHERE:

London

WHAT:

Fashion Rules Restyled takes a nostalgic look back at recent decades of dress through the wardrobes of three royal women: Her Majesty The Queen, Princess Margaret and Diana, Princess of Wales.

The exhibition has been restyled to show that these women also set their own rules, which in turn overtly lead fashion and taste.

Explore how they reflected the fashions of the day, negotiating the rules of dressing fashionably within the ‘rules’ of a royal wardrobe from the ‘New Look’ glamour of Princess Margaret in the 1950s, the elegance of The Queen in the 1960s and 1970s, and the tailored drama of outfits created for Diana, Princess of Wales in the early 1990s.
