"Nick Wheeler, 51, founded the shirt brand Charles Tyrwhitt as an undergraduate in 1986, because he thought shirts seemed too expensive. Using his middle names, Charles and Tyrwhitt (a family name dating back to the Middle Ages), his initial marketing budget consisted of £99 to print 5,000 leaflets and a £199 Amstrad word processor to sell shirts by mail order."
