WHERE:

London

WHAT:

"Stylist and former mod Roger K. Burton presents a fascinating evening talk, Rebel Threads: Clothing of the Bad, Beautiful & Misunderstood. Learn how distinct street punk styles were originally put together and worn by the predominant teenage sub-cultures that emerged between 1940 and 1980 and set these kids apart from mainstream fashion. Scheduled to coincide with the exhibition T-Shirt: Cult – Culture – Subversion, this talk will examine the role of fashion within key social, musical and political movements, through Burton’s extensive archive of over twenty thousand items."
