Presented by lecturer, researcher and designer Alex Russell, and based on his book The Fundamentals of Textile Design, this talk will offer practical advice on building a portfolio of printed textiles and surface pattern designs. Alex will discuss strategies for obtaining work within traditional fashion and interiors contexts, also covering freelance designing, securing an agent and offer tips for organising and showing your work.
